UPDATE 2:  These items have been released and now available at Walmart.

Lanard Toys has had a 4th item in their ALIENS Collection toy range revealed; a Space colony defense Alien Battle set to help combat those pesky Xenomorphs. This space marine and APC is exclusive to Walmart. Pre-orders for this item are now available.

Here’s the product description from Lanard Toys, “Space colony defense – Alien Battle set. Articulated figure comes with Advanced-APC Vehicle and accessories. Advanced-APC vehicle with rotating top cannon. Top loading cockpit that holds up to 2 figures.” Price is US$14.92/each. Availability will be sometime next year. (Only about 4 days away, now).

This does look like a great fun play set!  I’m thinking the space marine is somewhat generic and expendable but the APC might be perfect to accommodate characters from Super7’s upcoming ALIENS series, also being released next year.  I can see 3.75 inch Hicks, Hudson, Vasquez, Ripley, Bishop and Newt scooting around in this thing with the ‘sun roof’ off, driving over Xenos  on the kitchen floor and screaming “YEEE-HAWWW, Dumbass Aliens! Take that!”  Magnificent!

A number of other Lanard Toys ALIEN product range items have been announced.  Unsure of availability just yet but we can expect to see a super powerloader, sentry guns, more marines and of course more Aliens being released in the coming year.
