I will be AWOL Due to Hip Replacement Surgery.

This poor crippled Alien and I have a very similar problem.  We both possess hip joints have been destroyed.  While this is quite literally a pain in the arse for me it can fortunately be repaired just like this fellow here.

This figure and I will undergo conceptually similar treatment. Clean up the existing mess, insert the new materials and parts then assemble it all back together.  We’ll both be standing up again in no time.  Well, kind of.  I don’t think this Alien will need to take pain killers for weeks like I will need to; but my surgeon has informed me that I’ll be walking again (with crutches) within 6 hours of the operation.  Then it will take several weeks for me to fully recover.

As of tomorrow, I expect to be on hiatus from running this site for a few days at the very least while I recover from the immediate surgery.  In the meantime, I’m looking forward to being able to walk once again without the constant pain, limping and stumbling around due to crippling osteoarthritis.  Yeah.  Being able to walk once again is appealing and gonna be a real treat to look forward to!  Considering I haven’t been able to walk properly for a couple of years now, yeah, I like that idea.  A lot.

All the same, I’ll be returning with my new Cyberdyne robot parts installed once I am able to do so.  Wish me luck.  Mind you, if you do get lonely and miss me, there’s a ton of stuff on this site now.  To keep you occupied while I’m gone there’s Reviews and Image Galleries and other content for you to check out, too.

…oh, and don’t forget about the book.  There’s a book coming, as well.  Don’t forget that!  As for the book itself, I think I’ve got the Layout Designer, Printer, Binder and Distribution details all sorted out now.  I just need an Editor and I’m just about ready to hit KickStarter as planned in early March.  First, though, I’ll need to regain some mobility.  Major progress is happening on the book and it’s on schedule despite the need for me to take time out to deal with  this surgery.

Either way, “I’ll be back!”
