Super7’s speculative ‘Classic Toy Edition’ ALIENS Warrior action figure is now available from their web store.

At US$195 (plus postage) this is a pricey figure but keep in mind it is at least 18 inches tall and quite possibly closer to 19.  This is a tribute item that repurposes the original Kenner ALIEN figure and proposes what such a figure would have been like if Kenner’s original item had sold as intended and Kenner been able to continue creating ALIENS action figures in the mid 1980s.

Unfortunately, such goals did not work out for Kenner due to poor sales.  As such there were no action figures released as tie-in merchandise for ALIENS.  None. At all. Well, not for when the movie was released in 1986, anyway.*  Super7 is out to retroactively address this long standing issue, even if it’s 30 years too late.

Needless to say, I’ve already ordered one of these and it’s probably winging its way to me right now and I’ll be writing quite a bit about this item when it arrives.  There’ll be the obligatory review.  I’ll also be adding my own images of it to the Gallery – which you should check out, anyway.  After that, I’ll be going much deeper into exploring and investigating this figure and examine it much, much more closely.

It will also become content inside the HIDEOUS PLASTIC – In stores everyone can hear you scream. book.  At the very minimum, you can expect a substantial entry of it in the book consisting of at least several pages of text along with multiple photos of this item.

Looking forward to seeing this item land on my doorstep and the extra work it will provide me.  SUCH JOY! 🙂
