Ultimate Skate Park Villain

Q. What do you get when you drill a hole through a toy skateboard and attach an ugly toy that was originally cancelled in 1979?

A.  You get the Ultimate Skate Park Villain.  That’s what!

Just taking a small break from posting the flood of Kenner ALIEN prototypes I have waiting in the wings and I thought I’d whip up this little menace.  It’s a simple attachment of a Super7 ReAction figure to a toy skateboard.  Turned out kind of neat, huh.

While the board has a hole drilled into it there’s only minor changes made to the Alien figure.  The Alien already has peg holes in each sole and the screw was selected to fit into those so there’s no changes there.   I’ve taken this opportunity to make a minor correction to the hands. Dipping them in a cup of boiled water, I have twisted and manipulated them into a more natural orientation.  No longer being pronated does more than provide a visual correction but also makes them able to hold weapons and other items.

I also had to make a similar hot water treatment to his right ankle, manipulating the limb so it shifted his center of gravity making him stand upright on the board without toppling the entire assembly over.  That worked out well, too.

There’s a couple of photos  featuring the figure wielding Amanda Ripley’s flamethrower from the NECA figure.  The weapon is a little large; but the overscaling helps to amplify the already outlandish juxtaposition of the extremely hostile biomechanoid street rider.  Tres cool.

This item is going to be an ongoing project for me that I will return to at some point.  I have more plans for this li’l guy.  At least a mohawk and alternative weapons selection.  Maybe grace the skateboard with ‘LV-426 BOOT BOYS RULE’ or some similar slogans.  Yeah.  Gonna do that.
