Mock up boxes like this were used to test various features of the packaging ranging from ease of assembly to how many figures could be stacked into shipping cases and tested for ease of display.
The images above show simple perpendicular die cut borders with a wraparound window to display the figure inside. Below is an alternate mock up sample of the box showing a slightly more complex design with forty five degree angles cut into the window frame design.
The box in the image below features a green Kenner Quality Assurance ticket affixed to its back. The presence of this ticket on the package assures this product has been inspected and met standards of product design, licence approval, safety and other criteria outlined in Kenner’s product design documentation. It is ready to enter full mass production to be transported to the vendor.
