When released, the ALIEN ReAction carry case included an exclusive glow in the dark variant of the Alien figure. The style and form of the carry case emulates similar products made by Kenner during the late 1970s; and in particular, the popular Kenner Star Wars carry case. Much like its forty year old predecessor, Super7’s ALIEN carry case has a base capacity of twenty four 3.75 inch tall action figures but can contain much more. The colour choice of the vinyl case mimics the Kenner’s colour scheme used in their vintage ALIEN product line. The item was available from Super7’s online store and was also purchaseable from other online retailers.
A single bonus variant ALIEN ReAction figure was included in the carry case upon purchase. This exclusive glow in the dark figure has never been published outside this product. As a result, the glow in the dark Alien item has become one of the rarer variants of this figure. Inside the case, the figure was packaged in a small, sealed bag with ReAction badging printed across it.
Additional notes:
– The Carry Case was Super7’s first independent release outside collaborating with Funko.
– The Carry Case can accommodate any ReAction figure items or any other action figures made by other manufacturer if it is less than 5 inches tall.
– The insert artwork on the cover emulates similar retro themed styles used in the 1970s.
– The artwork was mounted upside down inside the case’s soft hinged top. This production anomaly is present on all samples of the carry case.
– The carry case was not sold in any box or card packaging but supplied to purchasers inside a large plastic bag with a suffocation warning prominently printed across it.
– Small pegs on the underside of each tray can be used to affix ReAction figures when the trays are removed and inverted, thus doubling them as display stands.
– The bonus glow in the dark Alien figure is very brittle and easily broken, especially if dropped.
