Here’s a nice animated .gif I found online.  It’s taken from the television commercial Kenner used to promote their charming oversized toy in late 1979.

Now, that’s pretty cool, huh!  This is a great demonstration of  how the trigger on the back of the head opens the jaws with both halves of the tongue extending and separating to emulate the creature’s signature death dealing ‘headbite’.

Also of note is the glow in the dark paint pattern upon the head.  This pattern differs from all publicly released samples.  This pattern is due to this item probably being a late prototype or production run test sample just prior to full serial production.  Also, check out the pose those arms are being held in!  Wow… They sure look mighty confident in holding themselves upright!
