Hachette Part Builder ALIEN Kit Video.

French publisher Hachette have released a video of their serial part-building publication where subscribers can construct their own 1.2m tall ALIEN in weekly/monthly installments.

The entire video is in French, as is all other content being presented therein. Nonetheless, this video appears to describe the content of the first issue, which appears to comprise of a number of print material items along with the first parts of the head. The video goes into some detail for each of the publication’s items and a quick rundown on how the “face” of the Alien is assembled.

Great viewing, even if like myself, you don’t understand a word of French it’s a fascinating product test being conducted in France. Especially if you want a do-it-yourself Alien the size of a ten year old child; although I suspect a ten year old may be cheaper. This screen capture illustrates how tall the finished kit will be:This is one of the few times I wish I didn’t quit French classes in high school 40 years ago. No matter – I learned to touch type instead. I think it’s been a reasonable trade off.
