Hollywood Reporter has published (exclusive) news Director Fede Alvarez is being attached to direct a new ALIEN movie. Here’s some info Hollywood Reporter has provided: “Your screams in space will be heard if Fede Alvarez has anything to say about it. The filmmaker behind Don’t Breathe, and 2013’s remake of Evil Dead has been tapped to write and direct an original standalone Alien feature for 20th Century Studios.”

Normally I don’t post about news regarding movies but we all know what the potential of an upcoming ALIEN movie means. More Tie-In merchandise, goodies, collectibles and kids toys inappropriate for children. YES! This, I am looking forward to. Right now, very little is known other than this announcement. If the production does move forward, then we’re going to be in for a real treat in coming years with a new movie AND a previously announced television series already on the way. So much face ripping space monstery goodness to look forward to. I can’t wait to see what NECA will have in store for us… but that’s a few good years away at least.
