TITAN Books are releasing a new book featuring Jones, the Nostromo’s mascot.  Titled Jonesy. Nine Lives on the Nostromo the book tells the events of ALIEN from the perspective of ‘Jonesy’, the cat as told by author, Rory Lucey.

Here’s what we know about it from the publisher “In space, no one can hear you meow. Aboard the USCSS Nostromo, Jonesy leads a simple life enjoying The Company cat food and chasing space rodents. Until one day, his cryostasis catnap is rudely interrupted. The humans have a new pet and it’s definitely not housetrained. This full-colour, illustrated book offers a cat’s eye view of all the action from the movie Alien.”

I haven’t seen the item listed on TITAN Books own homepage – or anywhere else for that matter – but  pre-order for this item is available at Forbidden Planet. I’m hoping this book is as much fun as it promises to be.  At least as good as TITAN Books earlier foray into the light side of ALIEN as depicted in their wonderful ALIEN Next Door by Joey Spiotto.  Yeah.  That was good.  A sell out success.
