NECA Reveal Wave 2 ALIEN 40th Anniversary Package Design.

It’s Facehugger Friday; and we all know what that means, right kiddies? Yeah! That’s right! it means NECA have pushed some more promotional goodies out the door for us to enjoy. YAAAAAAYYYYY!  On facebook today, NECA shared with the world package designs for their soon to be released Brett and Parker ALIEN Wave 2, 40th Anniversary action figures. Importantly, we finally see Parker and Brett finally being released in this format. Neither of this pair have ever been done before by NECA! Their release is not only welcome but exciting. I can’t wait to see the photos of fans dioramas after these are released. Brett and Parker will be released soon. Here’s what NECA have to say about this upcoming release, “Final packaging of Alien 40th Anniversary Series 2 coming to specialty shops everywhere soon.”  Yeah! Parker and Brett, baby. Right. They both appear to have some neat accessories, too. A flamethrower and cattle prod for Parker and another cattle prod and motion tracker for Brett. These are all round good choices for both characters but I might have liked to have seen Brett have Jones as an accessory.

Oh, and by the way; there’s also another Alien being released as part of Wave 2 as well. Really, another Alien, NECA? you’ve made dozens of them, already. One spattered with blood this time, you say..? Oh, sure, that’s nice, but really? Another one? Couldn’t we have Joan Lambert in Nostromo crew gear instead? Now, that would be SWEET!  Anyway. Another Alien it is, then. He goes onto the pile.

By the way, as an observation. Brett and Parker were the only characters in the movie killed by the Alien’s signature bolt gun head bite of death making the blood covered Alien appropriate to release alongside both figures. We’ve seen these three characters matched up as a similar trio before, with comparable packaging in Super7’s ALIEN Wave 3 ReAction figures. 3.75 inch tall Brett, Parker and a similarly blood spattered Alien appeared in their 3 pack box set, complete with retro themed packaging some time back. Is this a co-incidence? Here, check it out:
